Hi. I’m Adam Smith.

I decided to create Origin Story to uplift underrepresented voices in professional fields. There’s so many stories that get eclipsed by a status quo that sees professional achievement, but does not identify how those people got there.

These groups are broad: Age 40+ workers, the economically disadvantaged, rural/remote workers, working mothers, military veterans, first generation professionals/students, even introverted creatives who speak with their art.

We’ve touched on the tip of the iceberg of professional honesty and empathy, but there’s so much more to come.

I work in digital marketing and travel full-time with my partner Elise, something we dreamed about coming from modest backgrounds. I’d love to share my experience with you of how we got here.
